I may make some grammar mistakes, but remind you, english is not my main language. I am very interested in learning, so feel free to correct me in a polite manner.

  • Idk why you are down voted. He made deals with famous websites/sellers, PPPs. And Lula’s government never was far left. Lula always tried to satisfy both parties. He does politics very well in that sense, better than any other president. That’s where’s Haddad’s enters with recent programs. Who benefited the most from the car discount? Cars up to 120k. The max property value of housing program went from 200k to 400k. Why the government is giving subsidy to people in the middle/upper class?

  • I tried NixOS and was quite frustrating when I needed community help / documentation. I guess that’s the aspect of “the new arch”, the community will go “not my problem fix it yourself”. I’ve seen some good tutorials on YT popped up since then, so I’ll try it again once I get college vacation. It’s hard for me as a non programmer/psychology student. My field doesn’t overlap with programming not by a little, lmao. I think you need to recommend nix and have the way people need to do things. Like, a nix flake? You can get it to work 100 ways, and nix uses its own language and way of declaring things. That’s one thing that made me go “I just need to have a working system and I have a Arch install script done”. I like to fiddle around with things, but when you are stuck with something and there isn’t a clear path to do it, it gets frustrating. The 100 ways to 1 thing makes copycat difficult, because you have to copy the same person, which will not have all the needs for you, or find people that did their config the same way (which is really hard). Like, overlays, packaging programs, making modules, even Arch had a “this is how you get things done” wiki. I really think Nix and NixOS is really good and I will try it out again in some months.

  • IMO, rectangle phone screens are the most boring screens in existence. It’s literally a rectangle and always a rectangle every time… And everyone hold it around watching the exact same shit happening inside the perfectly constructed rectangle. It’s the same thing, over and over. Not only that but millions of people say they love their phone, but they don’t even post, just stare at a glowy rectangle and watch people in a rectangle posts around. You can’t define a more boring screen than that. At the very bare minimum, to spice things up, how about introducing some goddamn obstacles randomly placed in the rectangle. Add some actual dynamic scenarios that keep the owners on their toes and trying to come up with new strategies.

  • Good to see your input and how many people agree with it. I kinda agree, I am one of those jerks that will pray for open source alternatives, lmao, not so for paid or social media. Still being part of majority, I agree with you. I kinda miss the christian memes from reddit, it used to take the bible and interpret in some way, not as it was written.

As somebody said, lemmy have instances. I don’t think we are in the need to make more, but idk about that and it’s just an opinion. I think the next step is creating communities that a lot of people miss from reddit but feel they wouldn’t be welcomed due to existing communities and the current mindset in Lemmy instances.

Thanks for the comment and saying what a lot of us have been wanting to say.
