I’ll try actually answer the question and get hated for it I’m sure rather than circle jerking something to the top. But I think it goes like this.

Imagine you had a ball and a cube. Then everyone agrees the ball is a ball and a cube is a cube. Been like this as long as anyone remembers.

Then suddenly someone comes around and says one of those cubes is special and is actually a ball. Then everyone agrees that person is mental. Years go by and more people start saying that some cubes are balls and you feel like you are losing you mind. You know what a ball is, everyone knows what a ball is! How can anyone say a cube is a ball. People attack you for it. People say you are wrong that you are hateful, horrible but you know! Surely everyone knows this is a joke.

They started painting cubes to look like balls and everyone acts like they are balls. But you know they aren’t balls.

You are happy to group them on different measures. Sure some balls and some cubes are red, some are yellow. Both balls and cubes can be spiky, sure balls are more often spiky but there is nothing wrong with a spiky cube. Each to there own. Most cubes are smooth but some balls are smooth. That’s fine.

There are a million and one ways to group these shapes. But at the end of the day a cube is a cube and a ball is a ball. Anything else is madness and you’re not standing for it. You can group them however you want, choose whatever is the most important, fine is doesn’t matter. But don’t say something that is obviously a cube is a ball and what is obviously a ball a cube. You can’t change the definition of a cube to be what that shapes feels it is, that’s meaningless. It defeats the purpose of the word. Sure make a new word but don’t use that word.

Instead we live in a really shit future that’s worse than even the 90s.

When I was in uni I bought a projector for my room. Best thing I ever bought.

Just put it on my bedside table and used it to watch movies on the white wall either alone or with the FB. Even took it downstairs and on the old console played split screen COD with the housemates. It was awesome.

But that was 10 years ago now and TV tech has moved on. Most people have a huge TV that gives pretty much the same size as what screen I was protecting but much clearer, and they also don’t live in a shitty uni room with no space for a TV stand and no walls mounts.

The projector had its short window of being the right solution but I think a lot of people missed it and now a TV is almost always the right option.

In a few years apple will release one, act like they invented it. The fanboys will pay whatever price apple is selling it for and foldables will be mainstream.

Apple products aren’t that good but their marketing is second to none.

People dying in a war are to make Russia great and defend itself from the outside world. Or something like that and anyway who gives a fuck when it’s not you and just some other random Russian who’s probably a criminal anyway.

Like lots of metals can be toxic but something like iron is so common you could just throw it on the ground and while certainly not ideal it’s far from a major problem. The environment is very good at dealing with iron.

The economics of an undegrading car battery are interesting.

It’s looking like these batteries will allow electric cars to be comparable to an ICE car in terms of price and cheaper to run.

So people will buy them as it makes sense. Then run the car until it falls apart then they will have a very large battery effectively for free. Does that get placed in a new car? Converted into home storage? Grid storage? Cheaply recycled?

Yes exactly. It’s equally as easy to do both. Counting to base 10 isn’t easier than doing it to base 12 or base 6. But 10 is just a kind of shitty number. That’s why imperial tends to use 12 because its better. They just changed the wrong thing. Metric should use base 12.

Changing it would be a ball ache. 12 is better than 10 though.

I’m struggling to fine anything that says Sweden have used there nuclear power flexibility. That’s not even mentioning if they have done it for a good price point.

Just because most of the other car companies are full of shit doesn’t mean waymo isn’t making slow yet consistent gains in the area. It might take 5 years it might take 10. But mass roll out of self driving cars is coming.
