In a controlled environment, side by side, yes there is a noticable difference.

I work in AV, and have seen the top end stuff for sure. Maybe I’m old and my sight isn’t what it was, but for home use I just don’t care.

With HDR in a dark room w a “properly calibrated” LED I get as good an image as I could want.

If you want the best bang for your buck, in my opinion, you have two options.

One is to go cheap. For personal use I buy Visio displays, and have had nothing but success. I never connect them to the internet, and use my PS4 as my media player.

The other is to buy a commercial grade display. This usually means no media apps at all, but they are designed for 24/7 operation. Look for something advertised as a digital signage display.

As the other poster mentioned, OLED is supposed to have better contrast and black, but I’ve never noticed much of a difference.

I have had a much better time w Skyrim mods than FO4 on the PS4 as far as stability goes.

I only have it on PS4, and yes there are lots of mods in the workshop. There are obviously limitations.

Every few months I try installing various mods to make what I want out of it, darker nights, flashlight mod, weapon and armour changes for a more hard core experience, etc, and end up with 15 or so mods installed.

Start a new hardcore mode, get just about past diamond city, and the game invariably starts crashing.

No idea which one or ones are causing the issue, and in the end I get annoyed and go play something else.

This is all fine and good till it’s a conflict between two specific mods. Damn you FO4 on PS4, why you gotta be like that?

Ubisoft made splinter cell, farcry 2, ghost recon, and rocksmith. They did a lot of good things over the years. Problem is, they’ve changed.

I think you are missing the important part here. The school now has a football, baseball, and that other kind of football, team. It doesn’t actually have facilities or fields for any of these activities, but what matters is that now they can give scholarships for students in these vital academic pursuits.

They really hammered this home in basic. I remember being really suprised by it, having thought as an airman basic I had to do anything I was ordered without question.

Now, the truth is, for your everyday enlisted person, the chances of being given an actually illegal order is basically 0.

Still, it was nice to know that there are mechanisms is place to protect me if I was told to do something truly horrible.

That unfortunately is going to be app dependent as far as I know. Your phone can set if a given app will alert you, but for example facebook would have to filter which friend’s notifications get sent.

An app that let you manage notifications by user across multiple platforms would be amazing.

“I don’t want to hear from Jay today” would be an awesome checkbox.

Why? Do people behave in an unrealistic manner? Like taking precautions, social distancing, wear masks, believing that its real?

I would be a good dictator. I don’t crave fame, fortune, or control. I like to live a quite life, have general good will for people and am kind.

I have a very technical background, a decent understanding of, and more importantly a high respect for, science. My number one skill is probably troubleshooting complex systems.

I’m am secure enough in my knowledge and abilities that I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong, and enjoy and am not threatened by other people being right so I can learn something new.

I make a terrible manager, so I’d have to delegate the vast majority of the actual work to competent people.

Mostly I just want everyone treated fair and equal, to have access to basic needs, and the ability to better themselves.

I absolutely don’t want the job, nor do I think anyone should have it, but yeah, I think I’d make a good dictator.

He was very much using twitter as a primary communication channel from the begining, and this time around, he has both twitter and truth social as his basically his own.

One day I realised I was out of options. The military had always been a theoretical get out of Dodge card for me, and since I was out of ideas, no place to live, and it was the middle of winter, I signed up.

My MOS placement was possibly the single best luck of the draw I’ve ever had in my life, and having a guaranteed contract saved my ass a few times in tech school.

Even though my military career wasn’t the best, and ended early, the training both personal and technical still serves me well to this day.

I literally can not imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t joined.

Here I am proudly… sniff… yeah, we’re good… maintaining the bare minimum if standards.
