An easy language that works everywhere? This person is writing code a few times a year.
If you are curious definitely do check it out! It’s a really cool language to learn and you’ll start to enjoy the fight the compiler puts up.
Guaranteed memory saftey
Sounds like python may be a better fit if its supported on the embedded devices you use as it will cover scripting and backend too. Rust has quite a learning curve and can be rather verbose.
I use multiple GUIs with i3 and would not have it any other way. They work great and I can control them with the keyboard!
I loath the name but automate can do that and much more. I have a flow set up that emulates the /tmp directory.
Do you listen to Linux Unplugged podcast? They just mentioned this lol
I keep a docker directory in my home dir that has a directory for each docker container/stack in a compose file. Taking down a container looks like so.
Imo, the best way to work with docker.
i3/window manager. When I log in to gnome I feel like I’m being dragged through molasses. I have an anxiety attack every time I see a window floating in front of another. My wrists creak and crack as my hand dances between keyboard and mouse. It almost lessens my interaction with the linux community because so many people are passionate about and discuss desktop environments and yet I don’t really see one unless I’m having issues.
A very Cool and Popular opinion to have right now

After they reach AGI they will own the entire world
I got my trackball due to wrist strain last year and have really only felt my thumb start to strain once or twice. I am definitely less precise but that’s still worth the reduced strain. Also makes me try to keep my hands on my keyboard for longer!
