Live nation/ticketmaster is worse than that, if you try to open a venue without giving then a cut in some way they’ll blacklist you from the industry.

The original comment was about lithium and their popularity for backup power. Sodium ion batteries are so new that you can’t purchase them yet (blueitte supposedly released the NA300 but I can’t find any in stock and it’s no longer on their site).
It wouldn’t be fair to compare a chemistry you cannot purchase and which it’s strengths and weaknesses haven’t been tested outside of controlled laboratory testing.
People have been using lithium-ion batteries for home and grid storage, which is nuts if you compare it to other battery types
Compared to other battery chemistry types using lithium makes tons of sense.
Lead acid type batteries like sealed and AGM are cheap but not power dense and do not offer the same discharge ability that lithium offers without damaging the battery (AGM fixes this but it’s still an issue). Some lead acid batteries require continuous maintenance and vent toxic gasses which may be an issue depending on your encloser.
Nickel cadmium batteries solve a lot of issues that lead acid batteries are plagued with however they suffer from moisture intrusion issues causing self discharge. Nickel cadmium also suffers from memory effect which may completely ruin pour battery depending on your use. The elephant in the room with nickel cadmium is that it’s banned in some countries including the European union due to how toxic cadmium is.
Now with lithium, it’s a very energy dense battery which means you need less batteries to meet a capacity or you can fit more capacity into an encloser. There isn’t any electrolyte or water maintenance you need to worry about. You can discharge and recharge as you wish with minimal damage. Really the only downsides is that they do not like charging in the cold, are just as toxic as cadmium, and are much much much more expensive.
That’s straight up survivorship bias
Tails is one of those things where you aren’t supposed to daily drive it unless you are a paranoid weirdo.
Just remember monero is not an investment platform. Use it for it’s utility and not to make money.
Because landing on the moon is an excellent test bed for future scientific and commercial endeavors. But why an international person? Space travel requires support from the international community and an easy way to drum up support without being billed for it is to offer a spot on the mission and all of the prestige that comes with it.
How is me pointing out that their statement was incorrect shilling? Is it a crime now to want things to be factually accurate?
Crypto ain’t cash, they can unravel the block chain and figure out the transactions. He can’t just disappear with a few mil and not be followed.
That’s not true of all crypto though, he could have disappeared with monero.
Proxmox is not a complete replacement for VMware. Proxmox still does not have a distributed resource scheduler or distributed power management for it’s cluster which means the only time a VM will move between nodes is if a node goes down.
There’s no official support for VDI within proxmox and all the third party tools are janky at best, definitely not ready for enterprise level deployments.
Nvidia does not officially support vGPUs on proxmox. You can get it working but it’s definitely not something you’d want to run on production.
If you are looking for an open source alternative to plexamp I recommend checking out Logitech Media Server. Don’t let the Logitech in the name fool you.
It’s more so because moving freight vs passengers are a fundamentally different challenge. There are a handful of class one freight railroads that hold the operation contract for some commuter lines and those employees still have a significant better quality of life.
Not to downplay anything but passenger rail employees are treated significantly better than freight. The majority of employees have set schedules including conductors and engineer. It’s different from crew base to crew base but between 15% to 30% are extra board working on call.
Gas cylinders do not cost ten grand though…
How does the business half of battery swapping work? Obviously you’d pay for charging the battery but who actually owns the battery? Who is responsible for the battery degradation?
Maybe for those audio engineerings who end up on the mastering side of things but those who go down the live sound systems engineer path definitely deserves the same level of respect as any other engineering profession.
This is great news for people who make animations with deforum as the speed increase should make Rakile’s deforumation GUI much more usable for live composition and framing.
You are comparing different efficiencies. Solar panels are 15% to 20% efficient at converting light into energy. As far as I’m aware every Efuel being developed (and every hydrocarbon fuel for that matter) has a 0% efficiency at converting light into energy but if I am mistaken please do correct me.
I know this is a joke but please do not buy repeaters they do not work how you would expect them to work.
Repeaters take an already weak signal and amplify that signal while increasing the latency. Sure this makes the signal go farther but it doesn’t increase the bandwidth and if you stand in between the originating wifi source and the repeater your device may not migrate to the source wifi even though it might be faster because the reapeter has the illusion of being a better signal because it’s louder.
The better route to go is to use multiple wifi APs through out the building connected back to your router with ethernet.
You could also go with mesh access points but you have to do a lot of research and planning; The two key things to look out for is they mesh system must have a dedicated backhaul and you must place them where each node has an excellent signal to the next node. Since most backhauls run on 5Ghz and 6Ghz this means there shouldn’t be any walls between them.
