My issue is that on the (?second) day of the war, a group of Western reporters were presented with “evidence” of the planning that had gone into the attack, and I found the “evidence” to be laughably bad - the evidence itself, the supposed circumstances it was found under, the condition of the evidence - all were bad. And if you present such incredibly poor “evidence” at one point, I’m going to automatically be much more suspicious of any other “evidence” you present later.

I haven’t followed the nuances of these trials as well as I could have, but someone suggested that Guiliani has a Catch-22: he’s being sued in civil court for defaming two Georgian election workers; and at the same time he’s being prosecuted in criminal court for interfering with the Georgian election. Anything he offers in defense at the civil trial could be used by the prosecution at the criminal trial.

Actually, there was never any option for a bench trial there. The media saw the submission form, which had an unchecked box for “jury trial”, but it’s a standard form that covers multiple types of trials. Like when you go to DMV and get your driver’s license renewed, there are all sorts of options for commercial and motorcycle licenses as well but you never check those sections because they’re not applicable to you.
It’s some weird thing where they’ll give you reddit credit or something that you can turn into cash. But you’re only eligible if you average like 10 gold a year, and I’m sure they’ll have like a minimum withdrawal amount or something, to limit it even further.

I don’t doubt there are Hamas tunnels, either. That said, Israel has presented no proof that the tunnels at the hospital actually were Hamas tunnels. They actively prevented journalists from entering the tunnels and, afaik, there was only one video from ‘inside’ the tunnel that contained no proof that it was actually the hospital tunnel.
I find it hard to give Israel the benefit of the doubt on their claims after they claimed that an almost pristine document had been found on the body of a Hamas fighter deep in the initial attack.
It’s not like this evidence is likely to be sourced any other way.
Well, Israel could start by allowing independent journalists to actually cover the war, instead of going out of their way to prevent them from covering the war - as well as murdering at least 68 journalists and media workers during their 73-day-old war.

We know that tunnels have been found in Gazan hospital complexes. There has been no credible evidence that these were Hamas tunnels. Most hospitals I’ve worked at have had tunnels or underground hallways - hell, my high school had tunnels. The existence of “a tunnel entrance” that the Israelis refuse to let independent journalists into proves nothing.
We know by video evidence that injured hostages were taken to hospitals. Seems like install wins either way: either Hamas brings in prisoners for treatment and then suddenly the entire hospital is a Hamas compound and everyone there is affiliated with Hamas; or they don’t bring in prisoners for treatment and they’re barbarians who don’t understand the way that ‘civilized’ people conduct war. [Hey, how come Israel gets to kidnap Palestinians off the street and call them prisoners, but when Hamas does it, suddenly they’re hostages?]
I have seen no hostage testimony that doctors kept hostages jailed. I have read that hostages were unable to leave after getting treatment, but that doesn’t mean it was the doctors preventing them leaving.
Why are my comments important? Because Israel knows it’s losing public support for it’s war. Trying to demonize both the UN and the WHO [both of whom are targets of US conservatives] attempts to keep US conservatives strongly aligned with Israeli government interests.
