I think saber might be an option; can’t test it personally since i dont’ have a samsung.
My internet is 1.5MBytes per second download… And 200kbytes upload, there was a torrent that i was able to save from dying, i remember the poor mf that downloaded that file from me for a whole week; to download 16GB since then he’s been seeding that file; the sheer tenacity that man had.
Edit:english is difficult
No problem; do note that in most cases you are going to need to open the vacuum to access the serial interface; so make sure you are comfortable with doing that and that you have the necessary adapters… That last one bit me on numerous projects
The problem is that they are closed off systems; you need to do full on reverse engineering to even understand what you are dealing with; plus there is the fact that these appliances are expensive and, unlike people modding consoles, there isn’t mutch gained for the majority of users
I think your best option is to find a used one that supports valetudo
On linux i was able to setup my hp laserjet no problem, cups recognised it just fine; the problem is with the integrated scanner, SANE sees that there is some sort of scanner but fails to talk to it, i have windows 10 installed on a usb key essentially only to use the scanner
Reject modernity, return to typewriters
I mean, with legos it’s not even that bad, because the pieces look different; i have a nightmare box full of screws and nuts with diffrent size and thread i ripped from old stuff, finding the screw you need is an herculean feat
I have only really done this while i used windows, on linux i have always been able to find a solution that didn’t require reinstalling; on windows on the other hand i had a time where it just started to bluescreen at every boot out of nowhere…
i genuinely have a pc with a 30 cm fan from a welder bolted to a hole in the side of the case, it runs at 240v and it’s one of the loudest things i own, but at least i passed from being continuously thermal throttling to running at a reasonable temperature…
It seems like a flavour of the rubber duck method; by trying to explain it to a third party, you think about it in a different way and find a solution.
