Every company have always oversell their own products. This is not new.

Coca Cola is also just a carbonated sweet drink and it’s being sold as happiness, socialization and the meaning of Christmas in a bottle.

Companies oversell, it’s called marketing. It’s shit practice but it’s not nothing new.

That does not make the technology worse (or better). Current AI technology has its uses. With a big problem in how resource hungry it is. But it’s fairly useful.

I really wish we had a really advanced AI with reasonable resource consumption within my lifetime. I don’t think it’s unreasonable as we have got really far in the last 30 years of computational technology.

-Money for a big marketing campaign, and reaching famous people.

-A better first comer UX.

First one is hard to solve. But UX in Mastodon should be solved. Local and federated feeds are useless, specially on the “default” .social instance. They need to find a way for new users to be able to see a relevant feed of toots and to have an easier time finding people they’d like to interact with.

It is a solvable problem, I hope someday it could be done.

I suppose you can check mental health statistics on people who is different to the group they are living with and see how they are doing.

Also literally most countries legislation legislates against different people with plenty population support.

In many countries most normal people will harass, imprison or kill people based on sexual preference or gender identity.

Just normal people. Not members of any extremist group. Just the guy who is selling groceries or the gal buying them. Most people on this world hate anyone who is different to them.

A life of experience tells me most people is awful, and will have zero regards on making your life miserable for whatever reason they see fit.

People is generally bad, they just are like that. My simple existence is hated and ilegal in most of the word. Most of people in this planet wish me death without even knowing me just because how I am.

Why people cannot see that the core problem of twitter is not that it got bought by the asshole billionaire. It’s that the asshole billionaire was able to buy it.

In Spain we are starting to get negative prices every weekend for electricity thanks to renewables. France is not even close to those prices with their bet for nuclear.

Don’t get me wrong, I love nuclear power. And I’m not a big fan ok what thousands of windmills made to our landscapes. But efficiency wise renewable is unbeatable nowadays.
