I will swap out the default font with a monospace Nerd Font. I’m currently using the Cascadia Code Mono Nerd Font, but I will change it every so often.

I have a similar feeling about it. I think I would prefer the customization of KDE, etc, but GNOME just works for me right out of the box. I don’t think I change anything except the monospace font nowadays (in Tweaks). It works great and gets out of the way. For people who do not like the GNOME workflow I suspect it would be horrific because there is far less customization.
There is a fork of openboard with swiping at https://github.com/Helium314/openboard
Edit: you technically need to download the swiping library to keep it fully FOSS, but I am okay with that given there is no other alternative. Instructions on where to find a swiping binary are on the github
Edit edit: another fork of openboard with swiping here, but is less up to date https://github.com/erkserkserks/openboard
I like that for files, but not for written documents. When I label things I try to use the most intuitive/least confusing way I can think of: DD mmm YYYY. This comment is posted on 23 NOV 2023, for example.
I think their issue is that it misrepresents the magnitude of the funding. Less than 1% of their funding comes from the federal government
It might not be what you are looking for, but I think nnn is a interesting reimagining of terminal file navigation/management.
I use Zotero, which is open source, and sync it between my devices using syncthing. I know this may not be considered self-hosted by some, but it does put you in charge of your data.
If you only want the drive part of google–meaning just files–then seafile was way faster for me than nextcloud.
I thought you are supposed to install extensions through the web interface, not the command line
I want to like florisboard but it is lacking so much. For example, of I want to use gesture typing, I can’t have it capitalize the word “I”. I have tried switching to the beta multiple times, but never last more than a few hours because of small things like that.
I think half of my Lemmy posts are talking about SAP. It’s such a good autobattler. Just boiled the genre down to the key components
I think that one is the only logo with any soul to it. The rest are so flat! I like the old opensuse logo, but I get that it doesn’t fit with the rest.
