I just have a single network printer I need to access from all of our computers. A Sharp mx-4071’if memory serves. I figured it out on Linux Mint in about 10 minutes so I’m pretty happy with that.

I’m replacing a couple of really old PCs at work with slightly less old PCs and I know they don’t meet Windows 11 specs without workarounds. I’m thinking about taking the leap but I need printer support to work. Otherwise something like open office and a web browser will do what I need. What distro should I start with? I don’t have time to find a perfect fit.
All of the gifts are in a bag of holding so their weight wouldn’t be included. It would be about two tons including the reindeer.
doingthestuff@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Do you actually own anything digital?English7·2 years agoYou said the Fourth Amendment, not your state law. The fourth amendment should protect from this but historically it hasn’t. One good state doesn’t change that.
doingthestuff@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Do you actually own anything digital?English12·2 years agoYou clearly don’t know about the state of seizure laws in the US over the last years. Having cash is reason enough for them to seize it and they don’t have to suspect you of a crime. They can simply find the cash as suspicious and take it and you have to prove the legality of your cash or property at your own cost/expense to get it back.
Girls aren’t real so this is fiction.

If the government can ignore the rules the people should do the same.
How would anyone say that when no one but me has seen my cock in years?
I live in a ranch style house on a completely flat property, there are no steps on it. Golden showers don’t come raining from above when there’s no above.
Whole new meaning to golden showers.

My response to never forget is I’ll never forget the freedom they took.
doingthestuff@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Policeman: Tell me where you live.2·2 years agoUnless they have reasonable articulable suspicion that you committed a crime or are about to, you don’t need to give them information. Bear in mind, if you’re pulled over they can pretty much manufacture a crime, there are so many traffic laws on the books. So you should show ID if you’re a driver pretty much always. And your ID has your address so you shouldn’t have to answer questions, generally better not to. But being a dick to them might solicit retaliation. Always record the police.

Yeah. Enjoy the meme. Don’t buy the book.
I’ve had it so long it’s like a dark friend. It’s a release.
