Still too expensive.
Still too expensive.
I’ve had Lemmy for months now but never felt like actually posting much because the clients were just not very good. I’ll be posting more now that I have Sync, although the prices for premium versions are frankly obscene.
$170 AUD for a lifetime “ultra” license.
I’m waiting for one with an OLED screen and good battery life. New models are coming out all the time and I’m excited to see what’s available in a year or two.
True blue battler!
Blokada was a massive system hog when I used it. Switched to using NextDNS and it’s so much better. Not sure if it would remove ads from Spotify though.
Hey yo I also type 50/50 in Japanese and English and came here wondering if there were any Gboard alternatives out there yet.
if I say I’m not interested In something they take no notice and send it to my recommendations again regardless.
omg yes fuck this. I constantly get fed entire categories of videos on games which I actively hate; I have never watched a single video for any of them and have said “not interested” to probably 50+ videos, but they still pop up every day.
Totally this for me and I’m someone who understands how bad Google is. I’ve been using the same Gmail account for twenty years. It’s such an integral part of my everyday life. I have hundreds of stars on maps, a meticulously organised and synced Drive, all my YouTube favourites and subscriptions, Photos that are all mostly geotagged, etc. Degoogling would just be such a major hassle, and all my stuff would never be as nicely integrated ever again.
I don’t mean to steal attention away from Iceland and hope you are all safe, but it’s a similar thing in Japan. We’re due for a megathrust earthquake that could be way way worse than Fukushima.
Another thing that nobody could have foreseen is people posting racist/sexist/hateful stuff in general, and then somebody like their employer digging it up later. Bye bye career and reputation. Those people probably deserve it but still.
You can turn it on/off per site.
Instantly paid for the ad free version even though I’m rocking an ad blocker. This is a pristine app, every bit as good as the original Reddit app.
