And again, which was the point of my original comment, Mastodon may not do great when you need to propagate the post to other platforms. Unless you know something I don’t, Mastodon is horrible for time sensitive information, since it can take hours to get to your instance.

They technically still have an SLA, but it’s unclear how much they respect it. And if X isn’t viable there are other platforms that are.

I’d suggest they join a system that has users, proper SLA and an open frontpage.

As much as you might like Mastodon for being open, there are no SLA between instances. Bluesky or Threads likely do.

Not saying they shouldn’t start their own Mastodon, but not for emergency and time sensitive things. Or just for people who can’t access those other services. More options also mean more reach.

This is disingenuous. There are 240W chargers, just not “on the market”. If you really want one you can contact the manufacturers for an engineer sample. But since you’re likely not a device manufacturer, you won’t have any use of it since there’s no 240W sink available “on the market”.

That might be what some document says, but it’s definitely NOT true in the real world. Benson Leung (no longer doing reviews but still active on reddit) proved that by meticulously testing chargers from many manufacturers (some of the popular ones too).

Many chargers even amongst the popular brands could fry your device if the device isn’t being careful. I’m not sure it gotten better in the last 5 years.

It was thought that the LLM wouldn’t keep the actual data internally verbatim. If you can memorize an article, and recite it to everyone free of charge, technically it’s plagiarism. Same if you sing a song to a crowd when you don’t have the rights.

The Google research (and other discovery) proved that you can actually extract verbatim training data from a LLM. Which has a lot of implications for copyright.
