It was already publicly known that Iran warned about their strikes in advance, so it seemed clear they weren’t trying to escalate. I think the markets took that measured response as a good sign.

I know that’s what they are saying, I guess I think they’ll blink when a large percentage of users don’t buy a whole new computer just for a new Windows version.
I’ll believe that they’ll stop shipping security patches when they actually do it. It would obviously be a terrible idea for the reason you stated.
Reacting extremely violently to public fuck ups is not the same as a robust safety culture and inspection process.
No you’re right, nobody has precious photos or videos on their phone 🙄
In a normal world, “more erratic, less effective” is what you would expect to happen. Now that he’s packed his administration with ass kissing sycophants, they’ll just keep pretending that every crazy thing he says is 5D chess or whatever and follow his orders.
The chaos is the point, and he’s very effective at that.
Or possibly just more drugs
And then the tariffs go away and boom! Rug pull!
Dude says he’s seeding ISO files right in the OP. If you can’t be bothered to read it, then you’ll say things that make you look stupid. That’s why I read posts before I respond to them!
Some banks, like HSBC, will allow you to hold foreign currency accounts. There are also things like Wise, but I haven’t looked much in to it.
I don’t see the point of holding EUR though as you can’t spend them here. You’d be better off investing in a currency ETF, or just international stocks/funds if your goal is to diversify from the US.
It brings fear, it’s terrorism plain and simple. The goal is to demoralize the enemy population in general, not to gain any tactical advantage.
Pretty sure he is exactly that though, venal and stupid. Putin bought a president on the cheap.
Well we do have laws against fraud, deceptive marketing, etc. It’s hard for me to imagine what we would be arresting someone for unless it were one of those already illegal acts.
It’s nice to say it should be illegal to take advantage of someone, but who decides if that happened, and by what criteria?
Just another opportunity for the oligarchs to buy more of our country at a discount!
…the purpose of people sitting out the election? You know, the topic of the comment you responded to?
They’re doing it as fast as they think they can get away with.
“Oh he could just carpet bomb all of Gaza and he hasn’t, ever think about whyyyyyyy”?
What an utterly ridiculous premise, and you’re explaining their actions on this? Just so pathetic.
Careful, try not to cut yourself on that edge!
