  • Because most supposed “centrists” don’t really have a balanced centrist opinion at all. Most “centrists” seem to believe that being politically and socially uninformed is the most reasonable and intelligent take, saying “I’m not taking sides because I’m better than that” in a literal holier-than-thou sense of superiority, basically proud of their ignorance, who ends up doing more to hate on protestors and bend over backwards for the status quo. They’re about as right-wing as it gets, just quieter and absolute absence of a spine.

When you’re in a crowd waiting to get on a bus, do you shove and claw your way past the crowd, or do you wait your turn like everyone else? Is there anyone telling you to do that?

When a natural disaster strikes and we watch the news of cities being flooded/destroyed, do you see people raping and murdering eachother en masse because society broke down? Do you see them rebuilding only because someone above them on the hierarchy told them to? Or do people rebuild because they need to?

If your village was thirsty and didn’t have a well, would you ask someone for permission to dig the well so only that it benefits the person you’re begging to? Or do you and the village just build the damn well?

I’m more atheists than most atheists, because I go two gods further - Money and the “State.”

  • I’m betting the USA will split into 3 different countries. The East/Northeast will be one, they’ll probably still call themselves the United States of America being the original 13 colonies and all. The West/Northwest will be another, closely allied to the East maybe call themselves the California Republic or something with the bear animal logo and stuff. Then the New Louisiana Territory in the South, Texas and all that, which will basically become the new Middle East but in the West (Middle West, if you will) where foreign powers will fund never ending proxy wars through religious extremists.

  • Wow thank you for the incredibly balanced argument. I really want to switch to Linux for all the obvious reasons, but it’s the same cliche reason why I don’t - I’m too much of a bitch-dude to make such a big change to something I use and operate on the daily without certainty. But as i’ve said, the moment say Valve come out with a SteamOS for desktop which is basically Windows through and through minus the bloatware and corruption (that isn’t to say Valve isn’t corrupt but they’re not making weapons for Israel) is the day I switch with no qualms. Like many I’m far too used to the interface and compatability of Windows still.
