The vast majority of Israelis either directly or indirectly support the army. Even the most progressive Israelis (specifically people who call themselves Israeli) will rarely speak out against war crimes.
Silly goober :3

As someone living in Israel, that’s a nice thought but a fundamental misunderstanding of Israeli politics. The vast majority of Israelis not only support war but support a complete and total genocide of every Muslim in the middle east. Furthermore a very large amount of Israelis see the hostages as an acceptable loss if it means they can kill more Palestinian civilians. Its not “a few bad apples”, Israel is a fundamentally rotten “nation” that only exists on genocide and war.
That’s true but for the time being choices are limited (especially on the WM), yes it will be better but that could be years away (although I will admit Sway is a pretty good i3 replacement).
That’s not completely true, in Linux there are many points where old software sucks and new software isn’t ready for mass adoption. Like when everyone knew x11 was deprecated but nothing supported Wayland (to this day major WMs like cinnamon and xfce still haven’t switched over and most small wms never will). It gets better over time but there are dips in quality and Linux devs do sometimes make mistakes.
Trump: Oh no that’s horrible, on an unrelated note heeeey Putin how that deal going for a Trump tower in Moscow
When did I mention America? I said Israeli politicians suck and in addition I’m actively trying to leave (not easy)
As somebody actually living in “Israel” what the hell are you talking about? Bibi and other far right politicians want to occupy Palestine and genocide every Palestinian. I wonder what would happen if the “good” Israeli soldiers stopped massacring civilians or if Bibi offered the Palestinian people anything other then oppression.
Same, I wish all technology was shared and open :3
laughs with my GraphineOS pixel and librewolf and Alpine on my librebooted Thinkpad
(Obviously you don’t need to start where I’m at but everyone’s goal should be to eventually become as secure as reasonably possible)
For that price you can just get a raspberry pi 5, you can stream on it but also use it as a low end Linux machine
Thats why I think its pointless, its just Mullvad but less secure and less private
IMO they should focus purely on Firefox and maybe Thunderbird, everything else is unneeded. Mozilla VPN is fine but Mullvad exists and their email relay service isn’t that great tbh. Other then that cut executive pay to represent the actural value they bring (next to nothing) and work with Firefox forks to harden base Firefox.
Yeah, I just need to add an argument before the command. I set up an alias so its simple to launch.
I managed to get Steam working with some work, heroic games launcher worked with no extra effort, and everything in the repo is good (Alpine is independent)
If it ain’t free, it ain’t for me (if it ain’t libre, no way)
I personally haven’t ran into any yet, tbh I have more issues with SystemD dependent apps (Also keep in mind Alpine packages and maintains apps in their repo so they don’t require GLIBs/SystemD)
Alpine:
Yes, I get socially ostracized whenever I express any even slightly left wing points. Hell even pointing out the nearly 50k dead Palestinian civilians causes people to respond angrily and with comments like “they brought it upon themselves” or “it’s the fault of Hamas exclusively”
