  • Guys, remember how a ton of immigrants booked it out of Florida last year after they passed one of the toughest anti-immigration laws in the county and left businesses struggling to fill the jobs they left behind and replace the years of knowledge, experience and expertise in their roles? You see how they’re still struggling with this loss? Now do that on a national scale. Cut the workforce by almost 10 percent. Burden businesses and consumers with tariffs inflating the costs of international goods. Cripple, destroy, or downsize a bunch of government departments that support safety, health, transportation, and an educated workforce. And watch the inevitable national scale strikes and protests bring the supply chain to a halt. This is my prediction for the next 4 years (maybe the next year or two, honestly).

  • For every left leaning person that protest voted third party or just decided not to bother for some perceived inadequacy in Kamala, real or imagined, congratulations. You played yourself. For every eligible non-voter, wake the fuck up. Harris was not perfect, definitely had some flaws and wishy washy positions. But you know what she was? Fucking normal. There is no policy for which Trump was superior, and there is no norm, tradition, law, or morality that Trump will not challenge, ignore, or destroy. You people need to fucking do something. Participation is the bare minimum. Grow up.

Update: To all you salty down voters, yes, I mean you. Grow up.

  • I can’t read the article myself due to the paywall. But presumably these quotes are by the same individual? Why would any Democrat campaign take the advice of someone who has spent decades helping to get Republican presidents elected? Why would he offer his advice to them at all? Certainly not in good faith. And why would he be an expert at what makes a good choice regarding nominees? His campaigns have presumably lost as many as they’ve won and their electorate is motivated by fundamentally different things. And never has there been a situation like this for either party during an election, a former president and convicted felon and current president circling the drain.

I don’t necessarily disagree with the sentiment, but given the source I don’t give the slightest fuck what his view point is on matters of the Democratic Party.

  • I’ll grant you the bill does not restrict economic boycott against nazism per se. It does restrict vendor economic boycott against use of fossil fuels, deforestation, strip mining, anything to do with firearms, failing to meet greenhouse gas emissions standards, refusing to provide employees with insurance that covers abortion or gender reaffirming care, grossly underpays their employees, refuses to put non-whites on the board or their employee payroll, etc. If your company decides to switch providers of a good or service, end advertisement deals, or no longer sell to a company, the decision to do so better not involve those things at all, or you lose the ability to gain or keep state government contracts.

Notably, all these disqualifying boycotts are things that a left-leaning company might engage in. They do not disqualify company’s that boycott for right-leaning reason though. Like companies that provide abortion or gender affirming care to their employees, companies with diversity requirements on their staff/boards, companies that scale the lowest wages to the board’s wages, companies that are unionized or employee owned, companies that advocate against or provide alternatives to fossil fuels, companies that advocate against deforestation, fracking, or firearms.

The bill would allow them to using vendors that boycott Planned Parenthood over abortion services but disallow them to use vendors that boycott BP over anothet major oil spill. Feel free to punish the left for practicing their values and continue to practice your own right leaning values without worrying about losing your government contracts. Apparently it’s okay to disqualify left-leaning boycotts, but not right-leaning boycotts. You do see how blatantly biased and anti-1st amendment that is, right?

  • A word for words and names? Nomenclature, terminology, lexicon…

A word for peeing and pooping collectively? Most words have other uses, but also pertain to both bathroom activities, like Excretion, evacuation, expulsion, waste, elimination… There are better words that specifically refer to each act individually, but not collectively. Just for peeing there’s urinate and micturate, and just for pooping there’s defecate.
