So incredibly secret that we are reading about it on Lemmy

Are you lost? This isn’t /c/piracy
Whilst I firmly believe Brexit was fucking dumb, asking this question of the public seems impossible. How can someone reflect on their finances and say how Brexit has affected them when there is a soup of turmoil impacting personal finances. Energy, wars, COVID, global inflation are also to blame. I think if anyone looked at their personal finances and compares them to 3 years ago with a question prefaced as “Brexit” is going to be steered to saying they are worse off.
There are reports of Israel executing civilians in places of worship. So a similar “and you” report from Israel condemning a similar stack from Hamas but attached to that is “injuring IDF soldiers”.
I expect there are instances running on old laptops in someone’s basement. Once the novelty wears off they will get forgotten by admins and die. Power costs, admin overhead, will put some off continuing to host as time goes on. But it’s like a hydra, more will pop up and life continues on. I’m lucky that I work in IT and have equipment hosted at the DC for little cost, so self hosting my Lemmy access is cool in a geeky kind of way.
Oh I see. I need better reading comprehension.
When I do the same calculation I come up with HDD being 4.5x cheaper per TB.
You compared cheapest by cheapest, however items cost is more efficient with larger sizes
If you compare the best GB per $ sizes of both media types it is likely going to much more apart.
Funny and true
The comments suggesting the system sends 2 screenshots a second is truly worrying.
Helped by Steam having regular demo centered events. Which are awesome!
They meant the steam deck
The mental gymnastics to attribute phone projection vs some in house app to deaths is crazy. The only thing this will protect is their own bottom line
A second or dual charger and you can do both anyway with wireless headsets.
Thank you for the facts.
I’m using pihole for DNS and ublock for Firefox on android and I get no adverts.
As is on Reddit, the number of non-political posts with top level comments slandering republicans, seemingly totally off topic, is disappointing. I’m not American, so I don’t understand why so many conversations are simply “republican bad”. It seems obsessive.
I think it’s a combination of reposting on Lemmy, multiple communities posting similar stories, and news sites regurgitating results from other sites like it’s fresh news.
Windows asks for this permission when a program needs to accept unsolicited incoming network requests. Not something a browser normally requires.
Then double it up and use 2 together
How is that annoying and how else would you expect that to function?
If the data is local doesn’t it still stream over http?
