Could it happen that you already deleted the original file because you thought, well I have it in the important tab, but now will lose that copy when Google removes that tab and be left empty handed? Not sure how this tab works

I’m using official flatpak Firefox because I didn’t want to wait any longer for Fedora releasing their rpm version of it. This way I get new releases right away and they are official as intended by Mozilla.

Not really a flatpak advantage, but a Firefox advantage.

I don’t like this video. Didn’t watch to the end, but it didn’t seem like he had a better alternative. He comes off as someone that had his app rejected by F-Droid. Not saying that’s the case.

While F-Droid surely could improve its update speed, especially regarding security updates. The very reason that other repos are supported allows to get speedier updates.

Btw, I don’t even use the official F-Droid APK, there are better alternatives, from a usability point of view. Check out Neo Store. And Obtanium sounds interesting too.

Fairphone should have added a system level override that users could have opted in to and make the sensor lie about its class. Or even outright make it lie period. It wouldn’t mean a downgrade in security as it just keeps the previous behaviour which apparently was accepted.

Bollocks. For example in Germany, online petitions on a government run website that reach a certain threshold of people signing are automatically discussed in parliament.

And in the Firefox case here, no idea what they are planning but they could for example hand over the printed out signatures or dump them in the politicians post box or whatever. Have some fantasy.
