Interesting! I have built several projects entirely in TS or with react/next frontends and I enjoy the DX a lot now that I have the experience with the overwhelming breadth of options out there. It was very frustrating and overwhelming for me at first though. I found Dockerizing to help with consistency and finickiness.

I feel you 100%. For my own sanity, I feel like I have to draw a line in the sand and hold myself to a higher standard than the fascists. It would feel good to stoop to their level for sure, but then how do I tell myself that Im better than that? How could I claim to be? I just wish everyone had the capacity for empathy and kindness. It’s insanity that so much of our suffering is man-made through ignorance and small mindedness.

I think the difference to me is that Democrats/Joe Biden are passing real legislation that will go into effect and do something hopefully, whereas Republicans have dismantled protections for women, etc. Definitely important not to count the chickens before they hatch though!
wdym? The GOP does their best to limit access to healthcare. My only point is that Biden isn’t sitting around doing nothing ignoring the problems that most Americans face. Does not mean that he is beyond reproach or criticism.
I agree that corporations need to be stopped from buying up all the homes, but this is only one initiative and it includes price controls and other great things for low income families. More needs to be done, but I cant complain about progress.
edit: Also non-profits are not a panacea to any problems. The government is the only entity with the power to accomplish what we need

It’s not exactly what you mean, but merely mentioning abstinence evokes abstinence educators in the US for me. Abstinence education is bullshit. What kid needs to be told the only way to avoid STDs is to not have sex? Anyone with a functioning brain knows that. Abstinence educators are by and large Christian fundamentalists who go to schools to lie about sex and try to scare kids out of it.
Somehow I attended a public school which had one of these “educators” come by and preach about the purity of abstinence to my entire class. It was surreal and insulting to our intelligence.
