It’s a testament to safety standards in new planes. The A350 has tons of fire safety implemented and I believe is actually one of the first ones to have this amount of safeguards against fires spreading quickly.
There was talk in German Media a few weeks ago, that IRIS-T had a 100% success rate. Every single rocket IRIS-T fired shot another one down.
Not sure I believe it, but I wouldn’t be surprised much.
Having a 7900XTX and a 5800X…I don’t really get the wate of money part. I can throw everything at it and it runs exceptionally well with 5120x1440 resolution. Most, if not all,is running well inside Freesync 2 range…I couldn’t be any happier and since I’m getting old now, I’d compare it to the Athlon 64 X2 times with a Radeon 850 XT…between that and now, I never had a system that did so well with the games of it’s time.
Edit: Oh you mean spending 1400 on games…well, yeah, games are ridiculously priced…considering you don’t really own a copy either…
I guess the times turned. I remember that before 2010 “we” fans cared a lot about inter-series continuity and had an absolut blast in favrious discussion groups if these where honoured.
Seems like “we” have turned to be the odd balls and people seem to care a lot less these days…

Doesn’t change the fact, that the market will decide at this point what’s going to be cheaper. The carbon tax is still in effect.
Also, Sweden is a democracy. The people voted for the government.
I HIGHLY doubt that, because HVO is getting cheaper than fossile diesel. It already is in some parts of italy
Yep. These numbers will plummet. EVs are not getting cheaper, Renault phased out the Zoe as well… Not only that, more and more people are going to just drive and repair the older cars - which is a good thing because you’d be able to drive many 100k km for the 10-15 tonns of Co2 a new EV needs to even be built… Co2 prices will make fossile fuels go out of fashion very fast, like in Sweden, we’re over 80% of Diesel sold is renewable and gas 90% less Co2 emissions, most new-ish diesels are very clean (even the VW ones…) and particulate matter is “made” by both vehicles, so going by bike is the best option for that.
Many people I know actually bought new bikes, rather than a new car in the last 2 years…
Yeah, because EVs grow on trees and are absolutely clean and do not need any resources at all!
Where would those benefits be? Let’s start with gaming on the M3 Mac - it’s CPU bound in many games even though apple’s compatibility later is actually good. And the GPU is a joke, even compared to the Intel dGPU offerings. Let’s not start on encoding (besides iMovie), packing or compiling things. Or even actually rendering stuff…
Germany is too wound up in internal stupidity contests right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if after January 2nd everything is grinding to a halt because of farmers and the new laws…
Technically, with HVO, diesel engines can run without emissions. So “EV only” is not necessarily what this means…
Oh I agree with that, it’s just that there aren’t many CEOs that get 6 or 7 millions as salary in the EU. These people are making their money elsewhere…
Well, we don’t have these kind of tech…uh…“foundations” in Europe. But execs in other companies are getting 500k…
FFS, just because he’s adopted some anti-socialist stances that align with Trump and Bolsonaro, he’s a political ally? God, i wish the world was that easy and black and white. Get some fucking political education, all you clowns that upvoted this shit.
Probably better than many think. While privatizing critical infrastructure is a very bad thing to do (and I think education is one of those infrastructures), other things are in dire need of reforms in Argentina.
The fuck? Where have you been hiding and getting news for all he’s trying to do? He’s as far away from fascism as the Earth is old.
He’s got some very…questionable positions and some things I absolutely disagree with, but fascism is most definitely not something he’s associated with. In fact, I’d argue he’s as anti-fascist as it gets.
Fascism needs four things: Ultranationalism, Authoritarian Rule, Violent opression of your opposition and economic protectionism. All four things are as far away from his positions as it gets.
Yes, he’s very conservative on some issues and has a pretty far right stance on others, but he’s doing the complete opposite to repress different opinions. He’s opening the country up, he’s for same aex marriage and so on. I don’t agree about having to privatize everything and I think it’s a very bad idea, but that’s not fascism.
Does it change anything, though?
It’s not only a political struggle. Working conditions are tremendously better in Europe, Environmental Protection as well. Manufacturing photovoltaics takes a huge pile of chemicals that need to be handled properly to not cause any harm to the environment - China neither cares nor has any other incentives to actually do this properly, which is exactly why they are so cheap. Theres also the issue of poor quality, that if you’re manufacturing something that can have a significant impact on the environment, it should “count” and not be waste 10 years later.
Not only that, China’s subsidies are utterly unfair.
Destroying the environment in one part of the world to “save” a different one due to climate change is just ridiculously stupid and simple minded.
