I’m still waiting for 5G to revolutionize everything like every carrier promised it would.

To combat spam and blatant fuckery, absolutely. Openly hateful places have no business on the general internet.
But anything else is better left to user discretion IMO.
At one point in my job I was effectively the translator between English speaking Indian software devs, and American project managers. If I can translate technical information into something understandable to a PM, and vague program specs into actionable technical requirements for the devs I think we’d actually be alright with the aliens.
Guess I’ll just start downloading that content too because I’m not paying you more for the same shit. I’d get rid of it altogether if it wasn’t just included as part of prime in general.
I was using that same docker image for a while but somewhat recently migrated to this: https://github.com/favonia/cloudflare-ddns
It handles 5 of my domains all from the single container. Highly recommend it!
I mean…technically the suicide was prevented.
If it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck then it must be a duck.
You underestimate people’s ability to dismiss pop ups and notifications without retaining any of the information in them.
I expect nothing less. And even if they do make the software stable and usable it will be quickly ruined by micro transactions and subscriptions for basic functionality.
Trash software from a trash company.
How many non-tech people actually know about this? And how many of that small percentage are actually going to toss their computer as a result of it?
Because for the average computer user, they will never wonder why there are no more updates. And as long as their computer still browses the internet they don’t care even if you notify them.
Microsoft tried for years to get people off of fucking internet explorer and barely succeeded.
Now he’s not just morally bankrupt, but legally too.
Breaking news: Printer company behaves like printer companies always have. User hostile.
I’m glad my instance is a sane one.
Interpret that how you will.
Evernote used “Subscription model”. It hurt itself in its confusion.
I feel like this would just push more nontechies to learn how to be better pirates. It would do very little to stop piracy.
If you woke up and all of that data was gone tomorrow but you didn’t care, then there is no reason to back it up IMO.
Hell, I download things multiple times sometimes just to spite Comcast.
If we’re going of usage percentage I would like the finest single core system as my daily work machine.
Aside from the bit of personal enjoyment I get from seeing Elon take an L… Starlink only meets the classification as “broadband internet” in optimal conditions. The average experience just plain doesn’t qualify and it is openly acknowledged that performance will get worse with more traffic. It may be better than nothing for some, but it is clearly not sustainable. The money would be better spent running lines because at least that would be consistent and long lasting even if it is more expensive.
Definitely a shouldn’t!
Well, nobody has ever accused her of being smart…so this makes a lot of sense.
