I hope the rest of your day is as pleasant as you are.
See, that doesn’t need a /s. Sometimes sarcasm is obvious in written form. Sometimes it’s not.

Nice chatting with you, ChatGPT. Have a nice day.
There was nothing about your comment indicating it was something Trump said. He says a thousand dumbass things every day. Nobody can keep track of it all. You shouldn’t expect everyone to have had all the same experiences you’ve had. A comment like that really requires a /s to signal that you’re not being serious.
Incorrect. You’re in here criticizing people actually taking action, from your armchair warrior position, admitting to not actually doing anything yourself, because… reasons.
Nobody is saying these protests are going to solve everything. Not by a long shot. But they are one of the things people can do right now that will help. Evidence? Tesla stock is down 33% in the last month, and over 50% since December. That’s hurting Muskrat directly, as evidenced by Trump shilling for Tesla from the Whitehouse.
You introduced the virus vs symptom treatment analogy. Well how about this. If you have a disease, and the only medication available to you at the moment only treats the symptoms, then you still take that medicine. You work towards getting a medication that will treat the disease, but in the meantime, you don’t turn down the one you have now, or criticize others for taking it.
What’s that going to do? Who is going to pay any attention to it? Certainly not the politicians owned by the billionaires. Certainly not the billionaires for whom such an action will not hurt them in any way. You’re here criticizing this protest as being ineffective, but only present alternative actions when pressed, and your supposed alternatives are even less effective. Either put up something that at least has a credible probability of helping, or STFU.
Ah ha. Thanks. That definitely needed a /s in this context.
These are not things individuals can do this weekend. These all require the actions of the politicians that are owned by the billionaires that don’t want these changes. What are your great ideas that individual citizens can implement right now?
You’re still not talking about your better idea. We’re all ears. Don’t hold back. What do you think we should do instead?
Feel free to organize your own superior plan. I look forward to contributing to whatever effective measures you have in mind.
Clearly you have better ideas of what we can do. That’s awesome! Get out there and start organizing people to implement your superior plan! 💪

LOL, wut? Where on earth did you get that idea? It’ll be illegal if the fascists get their way and take over, but we’re not there yet. This is one way we can help to stop that from happening.
Elongated Muskrat is currently sabotaging democracy. This is one of the few ways we can deliver consequences for his actions.
I’ll never forget when the AOLers started showing up.
Trump enacts tariffs on Canada.
Exactly. Trump. Not the states that voted against him. If you want to retaliate, retaliate against Trump. Make him, and the people that voted for him feel the pain.
Look at the things he’s doing domestically. There’s nothing he and his MAGA dipshits love more than sticking it to the blue states. So, Canada doing something that predominantly hurts blue states isn’t going to hurt Trump at all. Quite the contrary, it’s going to give him huge hard-on.
So, if your goal is to help Trump, well then carry on.
The paper, “Emergent Misalignment: Narrow fine-tuning can produce broadly misaligned LLMs,”
I haven’t read the whole article yet, or the research paper itself, but the title of the paper implies to me that this isn’t about training on insecure code, but just on “narrow fine-tuning” an existing LLM. Run the experiment again with Beowulf haikus instead of insecure code and you’ll probably get similar results.
See teslatakedown.com to find a protest near you.
Git outta here with that thar metric mumbo jumbo!
LOL. Who in hell wants to talk to appliances like that? If I wanted to talk to an appliances at all (not really) it would be to give very explicit instructions, not some vague complaint.
Translation: “We couldn’t figure out how to get an LLM to not do this, so we’re just going to call it a feature.”
