Totally agree with “Reddit might keep 90% of the users, but Lemmy will gain 10% of the more tech literate” I think the hurdle of getting into lemmy/fediverse is enough to keep a majority of MAGA/Trolls out of here.
In Sweden we are so ashamed of our politicians trying to meet every demand Turkey makes. NATO is not worth it for dropping support for the Kurds.

As a followup question: Would this not be against EU’s GDPR laws in some way?
This is what lemmy.world tells me when I want to delete my account:

Edit: So if we want to own our data we should only post, comment and vote within our own instance or just keep in mind that whatever we do on other instances might be there indefinitely.
