They are interconnected in much the same way that the Japanese invasion of Manchuria 1931 and the Spanish Civil War of 1936 and expansion of Japanese conquests into China in 1937 are preludes to the outbreak of WWII in 1939.
Incidentally the Second American Civil War is set to start in 2026 and Irish Reunification in 2024.

Also Starship Troopers isn’t a parody of SciFi is a parody of fascism.
So much better Sci-fi out there that would be amazing for a TV series or three.
Personally I work love to have a go at the Greg Mandel series or if I had all the money the Honor Harrington series.

There was a whole episode of DS9 where Julian Bashir was under investigation because he was genetically modified 🫤🤷♂️
There doesn’t seem to be any plausible mechanism to allow transporters or replicators to work. If they did then transporters would be murder machines🫤
Warp drive at least seems to have some plausible mechanism in physics that might make it theoretical possible even if it’s impractical to build 🙂🖖
