For remote access an account makes sense, but like many people I have no need of accessing my content without a VPN. There are other options out there that do not require logging into a company’s server to set up a local server.

Who said anything about authentication to access it? A server cannot be set up without creating an account with the company and allowing the server to send Plex data.

Same reaction here. My Plex install lasted until I realized that I had to log into their servers to watch my own content. WTF is an understatement.

Heat pump water heaters are relatively new, but heat pumps for interior heating and cooling have been around for decades. I have a 14 year old system that works well.

When there are adults in the room, they don’t have to like each other to work together for common goals. The current GOP/MAGA “If the Dems are for it we’re really against it” is comical. I never thought I’d see one party become the party of Putin and Russia largely because the other party sees Putin and Russia as clear adversaries. As has been said so often, this timeline sucks.

3rd parties are essentially meaningless in the U.S. except as spoilers and you know it. By far the most effective way to create change in the American political system is to push one of the two parties to take up the positions you advocate. Moaning and groaning about other “political bodies and philosophies” is just hot air at this point, and you know that too.

Yawn… Instead of bloviating about destroying both parties you might consider working to build one of them up the way you want them to be. I get it though. Building isn’t for the lazy, it is always much harder and more time consuming than burning things down.

We’re not yet to the place where say, a coalition of countries from around the world are forced to go to war with us and ultimately dismantle the fascist dictatorship we allowed to take over our country.

Kevin McCarthy just found out in the hardest way possible that Nancy Pelosi only made it look easy.
