  • We need to make it slang everywhere!!! Now!

It needs to become so standard that one day an old man will call his grandson a goober and the whole family will be mad at him. He somehow missed the memo.

Also, later seasons of the Andy Griffith show will be up to 100x as funny.

People will be watching this old show and then suddenly the goofy vagina character shows up as a permanent resident.

    I love this.

  • I imagine a terrible, awful future Forest Gump remake.

“They had these camps that helped folks with their concentration or something like that. They said I was a shine-ning example, so I got to meet the president of the United States, again.”

“They tell me this guy is the best example. Got treated, got rich in shrimp. What a guy! Our camps are great, the best camps in all the world.”

Camera pans to Trump shaking hands with Kim Jong Un.

“In Korea, everybody got these pic-tures of their leader on the wall. We got those in Alabama too.”

  • My education practically stopped in the 4th grade. I left school permanently in the 9th grade.

As a poor kid from Appalachia with no options to learn, having seen the kids around me who didn’t have it, I can’t imagine who I’d be without it.

Sure, I’m still an idiot, but I’ve been able to read books and study history that I would have had no access to whatsoever. I got to discover music and learn to play instruments. I have a decent understanding of technology while the friends that I grew up with struggle to use a phone.

I had an old Macintosh Quadra from a school auction that an older man gave me in 1997 and a wealthy uncle who shared his dialup login with me. The guy that gave me the Quadra also gave me several computers throughout my childhood from the 80s and would take my calls at any hour to walk me through DOS commands and things. I’m so thankful for his influence in my life.

I survived through my 20s by repairing computers. I would have been doomed to starve a thousand times if I didn’t have that skill.

I feel like it has absolutely been a necessity in my life.

  • I don’t play golf but my neighbor does. Here in Appalachia where I am the golf course isn’t even remotely flat. They actually made a pretty interesting setup hidden behind trees.

I’ve seen golfers that really impressed me with their precision. I would imagine that if you’re good at it, it isn’t even remotely boring.

I grew up with Happy Gilmore being my only VHS tape for awhile though, so I’m sure I’m biased haha.
