Most of my PRs are fixing typos in the Readmes 8) It ain’t much, but it’s honest work
Okay, let’s play this game :D Mint, because it’s frickin easy and fulfills all my needs while being stable enough for my work laptop
I still prefer it, HDDs aren’t free and I personally really can’t tell the difference (my TV kinda sucks anyway)
Your old stuff is most likely in x264 video codec, while, especially at the higher resolutions, x265 / HEVC and in rare cases AV1 are the standard today. But it also depends on the specific release how many streams (like audio tracks, subtitles) are included
For the remote management, either a VPN to your parents network or exposing (e.g. Cloudflare Tunnel)
And that’s the job of the government, imo. Regulate the shit out of the free market, force the manufacturers to not use the worst things possible
Uhm yes? You bought it, it’s yours. You made the decision to buy something that contains plastic or is wrapped in it or whatever, that’s where the responsibility went to you.
a typical (full subtitle) .srt file for a movie is like 100-200 kb - still not much, but 5 is a little off
Yes, you are right. It only makes sense if you jave the option to charge at home, at your work or similar. Anyway, I’m happy I don’t have to think about this kind of shit. I get on my bike and just drive, if something is broken, it’s usually a $15 fix I can do by myself in an hour.
I guess you are walking around with your phone until it dies, charge it for 5mins and then repeat? … or do you just plug it in over night or when you are not using it? That’s really not a good point you are bringing up here. You could critisize, that there are only few public charging stations (with user friendly terms) or what the comment you answered to is critisizing or even that there are so few alternatives for (really) climate friendly transport, but your point is just ‘what if I am not able to think at all??’
Thanks for the insights. No holy among the capitalist companies…
if only they’d pay the musicians worth a shit<
afaik that’s mainly the fault of the music labels, they charge quite good money, but they don’t give it to the artists: https://blog.groover.co/en/tips/loud-clear-spotify-2/
I know and I tell her that, too - it’s just something to consider when calculating the wife approval factor
My gf likes to click on ad entries of Google searches - that doesn’t work
I think almond is closest - but that’s shit for the environment, so oat it is
Gatekeeping milk. Okay, if you think that’s worth the effort
And five fingers per Hand!
Huh? Charge it before that happens? Exactly like you’d get gas before you run out of it, only that you can do that at home and don’t need a gas station
Never lie to your doctor and never lie to your lawyer, you can only loose
