You can either set a DHCP reservation in your router, or manually set the IP on the device.
When I say private IP, I’m referring to the internal IP e.g 192.168.1.X
Means internally I just go to the domain without having to remember the IP I set.
I don’t even bother with the internal DNS server. I just set my A records in Cloudflare to point to the private IPs
I used to ask customers to unplug their modem, tell me were the pins on the plug all brass or did it have black tips so I knew which model they had.
In reality I just wanted them to turn the damn thing off and on again
How come not proton? Did they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar traffic logs?
This shortcut works pretty well
Fascinating. I learned something new today! Thank you for taking the time to share :)

Here’s something kinda cool about the Monarchy. The king can just decide that Musk’s interference is illegal and shut down Xitter in the UK would be kinda funny.
I’m not a fan of that approach, but at the same time you don’t ask cancer to leave your body, you cut that shit out!
Also my favourite way to push a core to 100% CPU
yes > /dev/null
I miss the days of just sticking it in /etc/rc.local

My money is on it being part of the ticketing computer’s programming.
That’s exactly what I want in a situation like that, the crew to respond like it’s any other Tuesday.
Leave discount Freddie Mercury alone!
You can spin the pinhole up in a docker image and have it run as a secondary DNS server. The rest of your network can use the existing DNS and only point the TV at the pi. If you sit down to watch something and it requires tweaking, just flick back to regular DNS :)
For those (like me) who bought a TCL tv at a stupidly cheap price on Black Friday, you have options.
Hopefully there are enough key words in there for you to google / research what you need to get going. Good luck!
Listen, magazine sales are down, but I have an idea that’ll guarantee half of the US buy a copy!
In our company I’m friends with one of the lead devs. He once told me “no matter what way you look at it, excel is never the answer” lol I’m sure he was a bit biased, but I’ve seen my fair share of macro-ridden abominations over the years
