The pro Hamas crowd on here is wild but yeah hopefully not!

I believe a sternly worded letter was found ineffective.

In another life I had urban combat training so I understand it’s the messiest option. Hamas choses to fight in cities and sadly that is where the civilians and hostages are. Going house to house with troops is the best way to minimise civilian losses but the easiest way for Hamas to ambush, boobytrap etc… I can understand why the IDF want to minimise their losses and sadly the Palestinians bear the brunt of heavier handed combat.

Such a sad situation but unfortunately the aggressor sets the rules and Hamas won’t move out of the cities (or you know…stop attacking 😂) Letting the hostages suffer or Hamas continue to stage attacks aren’t reasonable options from an Israeli pov…so here we are.

The sheer disrespect and ignorance of basic human rights by people like you is astonishing too.

You seem unmoved by whatever atrocities Israel and IDF commits in Gaza or West Bank. And everyone who dares say that there is something wrong with this politics is getting automatically labelled pro-Hamas.

You should seriously try to put yourself in the shoes of the regular Gazan or even Palestinian in Israel and ask yourself how you would feel. But I highly doubt that human compassion is part of your character or at least not towards non Jews.

I am not affiliated with any part, and I am atheist living in Europe and it is pretty obvious that what Israel is doing is completely and utterly wrong. And this isn’t the way to achieve long lasting peace and one can argue that the end result would be quite the opposite with so many desperate people pushed to the limit there.

No compromise, no empathy from you for Israelis. In your eyes they’re just completely wrong. Wild. That’s the heart of prejudice.

The Israelis were attacked and pushed into an impossible position. I really feel for the Palestinians but I also feel for the Israelis who suffered under the Hamas attack.

At this point the least pain for the Palestinians is Hamas if surrenders and let’s the hostages go. That you seem to be supporting the war continuing boggles my mind.

You are so wrong, I know Israelis, I worked with them and I have zero problem with them, I even have friends who are Israeli. I also have Arab friends.

What happened on the 7th of October is wrong, and was horrible, but what Israel did after that is even worse in my eyes. I don’t support Hamas and would be more than happy if they don’t exist somehow. But you also can’t excuse the immense suffering of Palestinians with what happened on the 7th. One wrong doesn’t justify another wrong and violence is never the answer. I am against killing of any civilians and children, no matter their religion, skin colour, country of origin. I do care about human lives equally.

I am also very carefully selecting media sources I read and stick mostly with Reuters and BBC, but occasionally I read some news from Israelian media too, who are obviously biased in this conflict. Sometimes I also read the guardian who seems to be leaning a bit on the left, to balance things. I am trying to understand all points of views in this conflict, I read Wikipedia pages about the history of the conflict. And I still can’t justify the mass punishment inflicted on regular Palestinians with what happened on the 7th. The fact that Israel blocked all food, water, electricity and fuel shipments, blocked their telecommunication network are absolutely inexcusable. I know people tend to generalise people but this is the worst way to dehumanize them. Both Israeli and Palestinians. And I do make a difference between Israeli and their government, and as stated before I don’t have problems with Israeli citizens, to some extent I understand them, but I think humanity should always prevail.

On the other hand I have never read anything even remotely critical to how Israel is handling the war from your account. So who’s the propaganda now?
