Okay this seems like it makes the most sense. Maybe he sensed the ring was worth the risk.

Man I wish I fucking knew the context of this. Why did the guy come over in the first place? Where did the girl go? How did dude know instantly when he looked up at the guy while he was on his knee that he had to starch this fellow?
Did they use the part of the hospital Israel built to be a bunker as their command center?
Are we considering armed guards at hospitals to be war crimes now, because Israel built that bunker and definitely stations armed guards at all of its hospitals.
We can’t limit our supply chain for strategic resources to preserve an incentive to defend an ally. That’s nutty.
Chips are the kind of thing where there just aren’t enough of them being made. If we come up with a new way to produce more of them cheaply, that won’t suddenly flood the market with cheap chips It will just marginally bring down the price of chips they compete with.
There’s also a zero sum thing going on here, It’s not just that we need chips We need to make sure the China doesn’t get them and that strategic goal remains regardless of whether or not we start producing them elsewhere too.
Just convince them to try again next time after all of Trump’s appeals surely succeed and he is ushered into the throne in the White House.
You’re in pretty deep denial about how important it is for Democrats to at least pay lip service to human rights and international law.
I know that Israel wants to finish the extermination of Palestinians as quickly as possible but if they are allowed to finish Biden will lose the election.
And then you get Trump who thinks Hitler was kind of cool. The article everyone is commenting on is about why this is an issue and your hand wavy dismissive attitude is not sufficient to discharge the very loud very public debate going on about whether or not America needs to indulge every psychotic whim of Israel.
They elected Netanyahu. If they want to do things this way they need to do it without our fucking guns.
Are you missing the part where Biden is losing support?
I’m not super concerned with the popularity of my opinions, but the president definitely should care whether or not his choice to indulge a psychotic rogue state’s extermination of the native population is going to lose him support domestically. Did you even look at the article?
I’m not super concerned with popularity of my opinions. Israel has murdered men, women, babies, and their own hostages while indiscriminately bombing absolutely everything. Israel’s behavior is so inhuman It is an existential threat to the state of Israel. That’s why we’re commenting on an article where people are losing support for Biden because he has been enabling a murderous regime of a rogue state that is engaged in genocide.
Netanyahu needs to go to the Hague where he should be hung until dead and left for the crows. He’s no different than Hamas and people are waking up to that.
Supporting genocide reflects poorly on Biden’s character, values, humanity, and elective viability.
It’s entirely possible that Israel’s psychotic ethnic cleansing is going to hand the election to Trump who will absolutely pioneer new dimensions of anti-Semitism to unleash on the single issue voters who worried that progressives might choose human rights over supporting Israel’s extermination of Gazans.
There are a lot of people who really do not support the idea that we should be funding one country’s apartheid and ethnic cleansing of a rival regional ethnic group. Some of them will stay home, some of them will vote Trump not knowing that he’s worse.
I too have my doubts about whether or not America has the stomach to actually punish our service members if they commit treason. We didn’t execute the soldiers of the South and we even let them build monuments to their treason.
Americans don’t like to punish people in positions of power.
I think even on balance, considering fractions of skeletons in whole people, you’re going to end up with more than one skeleton per person despite some of those people missing bones or limbs.
It’s like one sixth of a percent more than 1:1 if there are 135 million babies born each year on earth, but that’s not nothing.
What is going on in this thread? It’s like comments keep disappearing.
Saying they are Putin’s hired guns makes it seem like Putin is the person who convinced them to join into a conflict that didn’t involve them when in reality we have been supplying arms to the people (Saudi Arabia) that have been exterminating them indiscriminately and without consequence.
We chose to be their antagonist. They didn’t really have much of a choice between get wiped out or find somebody to help them fight back against getting wiped out.
Putin is a bad guy, He’s going to use every resource he can in his invasion of Ukraine. If we were not supplying weapons to the people that are bombing Yemen then Yemen would have no reason find someone to help them resist us.
Putin doesn’t have to sell opposition to America to countries that are being bombed by it. That’s a problem we create. The easiest way to deradicalize Yemen (and plenty of other anti-western political sentiment) would be to stop enabling Israel and Saudi Arabia to ignore human rights.
Putin is the bad guy in Ukraine. The United States and Saudi Arabia are the bad guy in Yemen.
The fact that we have chosen to be their antagonist means that it’s only natural they would look for somebody to help support them even if that somebody (Putin) is only doing so for the most selfish reasons.
Yemen didn’t pick a fight with us. Yemen didn’t pick a fight at all.
Maybe NATO should prevent the United States from giving Saudi Arabia the weapons they need to eradicate the entirety of the population of Yemen. Maybe this is another one of those problems that we could solve by not propping up the fucking bad guy.
Tesla should be out millions for this. The autopilot feature is a gimmick and not at all transparent. They’re beta testing on the public and people are dying because of it. This is a corporate decision that needs to have corporate consequences over and above legal ones. People shouldn’t just be getting minor fines, they should be going to prison and losing absolutely everything.
The vast overwhelming majority of people being murdered in Gaza are not Hamas and have nothing to do with them. What’s going on in Gaza is the extermination of an ethnic group from land that they historically inhabited alongside another ethnic group that despite experiencing a most horrific extermination of a similar type is unable to reign in its own genocidal government.
Erdogon is truly a garbage human being and an opportunist, a monstrous piece of shit and a terrible statesman, but he has the moral high ground compared to somebody like Benjamin Netanyahu who is basically the moral equivalent of a Nazi.
The difference between people who adopt every internet of things device imaginable and people who would never own or permit such a device in their home under any circumstances.
When we moved to the middle of nowhere and couldn’t even get channels over the air, my sister and I wore through every tape in the house.
The worst was being 9 years old desperately trying to find the second half of Lonesome Dove because you only got most of the episodes on some random VHS.
We must have worn the sound off of The Princess Bride, splash, Aladdin and the little mermaid. For a 9 year old boy living in the hinterlands after growing up in a city, Ariel singing “I want to be where the people are” hit me right in the feels.
I do some e-wasting for a number of big companies and have piles of old laptops. I’ve taken to giving the laptops to people that need computers and the ones with Linux don’t taken. I literally can’t give away Linux computers. They can buy their own windows licenses.
