If you time it right you can take it off them and get a few hits in while they’re still stuck in slomo

I saw this earlier and thought it was just a niche joke about people not considering dot to dots puzzles… Took seeing it a second time to get the pun ffs
Nah, I hate the feeling of all the tiny hairs. Yank em right out tyvm
Then who’s coming up with all the bits that I copy/paste off the internet? The regex dragon?
FTKs should never have been allowed.

And in case you want one which does support the wearing of masks, here is a lengthy report with plenty of it’s own cited sources on all of the scientific reasons that masks were used to prevent the spread of COVID (note it’s a pdf not web page).
There’s also evidence now that the use of masks was effective, so in addition to there having been good reasons to start using masks before, there’s now also scientific evidence that it worked. Here’s one study on the topic which states: “There was a significant decline in daily COVID-19 growth rate after the mandating of face covers in public, with the effect increasing over time after the orders were signed.”
If you’re going to claim that something is unscientific, please back it up with something more than blind confidence.
Not necessarily, but Facebook certainly makes it easy to 😉 more importantly I’m not at all interested in being connected via social media with any of those people, aside I suppose from “normies” because that could really be anyone, but I’m not that bothered.
Christ, I have it running 24/7 and I’m only at ~1.5TB of uploads. Tbf as pointed out elsewhere I’m “competing” with seedboxes so not hugely surprising.
I seed way beyond the requirements, I’m totally happy for other people not to. I have a swanky setup that suits it - might as well. If you don’t, don’t.
I’m fine with that personally. I’d much rather have a small social network containing people who are like me (at least in some respects) than a huge one filled with people I hate and garbage AI content.
Mixing unit definitions with formulae for things measured in those units is what’s confusing, I think. That equation doesn’t define kelvin, it defines temperature measured in kelvin.
Brave search is great, I changed over and haven’t needed anything else since. There’s no dedicated product search, which is a shame, but it does call out prices on the main search so it’s still useful even for pretty niche products.
There are some things I won’t be disappointed to see replaced by automation. Transitions are not well managed in this regard (retraining is expensive after all), but many jobs I feel should be automated because they suck. Not really sure where influencers fall on this scale… Can’t imagine it’s great for your mental health.
People are just stupid, man. Or, more truthfully… People are poorly educated. By design. The situation here in the UK is similar, large portions of the electorate have no clue what is going on and either don’t vote or vote against their own interests. And the people they vote for continue to erode the education systems that might break the cycle… Because of course they would! They don’t benefit from an educated, informed populace. They benefit from sheep who will blindly follow the Trumps and Johnsons and Farages into whatever policy makes the ruling classes the most money.
I think if you take today’s pop music and do a side by side comparison with 90s pop you’d be surprised by how different they are. Not to mention, there are many many electronic genres and subgenres around today that have arisen in recent years.
It is, but if you look at how Farenheit was conceived it’s absurdly nonsensical. 0°F is the freezing temperature or some mixture of chemicals, and 90°F is a guess at human body temperature lmao.
And the freezing/boiling points of water are arbitrary except in that they are used to actually define both scales. They provide easily measurable standards.
Sci fi but make it less interesting
Automation should be a good thing. If we can have things that need to happen be done more efficiently with less work we absolutely should. But we should distribute the results of those efficiency gains fairly, which is where the current system fails.
