My point is, most people don’t actually care about Palestine enough to sway their votes. Same with most genocides. People don’t like them but think other issues are more important. People care about issues that affect them directly. If they’re not voting, it means they don’t think a decision will affect them (rightly or wrongly).

Conservative Muslims (not Arabs, they’re different) mention Palestine as a distraction. They were always going to vote Republican because they are conservative and have conservative values.

Interesting points. Although endless growth may still continue, because eventually robots will be more affordable than human workers. Not because robots become cheaper, but because humans are more expensive.

I’m not some pie-in-the-sky future nut. I know the main issue is the short term problems. Like what do we do for the unemployed worker who can’t afford somewhere to live and has no investments? How can we deal with negative externalities like pollution and climate change?

These are the real challenges. Robots that talk to you and perform tasks are easy by comparison.

I don’t care about the “cost of new shows” because most of them suck. Just because you have a big CGI budget doesn’t mean you made a good show. Not only that, but good new shows are all cancelled after one or two seasons.

The reason for this is obvious: creating a new show adds another “square” on the Netflix screen. Adding more seasons to an old show doesn’t. Plus you can advertise “new show” and people will just watch to see what it is. Viewers need to stop watching things just because they’re “new”.

They are not going to let a random retail investor naked short an IPO on the IPO day. There’s no way you will be able to exit your trade fast enough if it rockets up (in minutes). You actually need to tell the brokerage about your trading experience to be approved for riskier assets and trades.
