Assuming we can get AGI. So far there’s been little proof we’re any closer to getting an AI that can actually apply logic to problems that aren’t popular enough to be spelled out a dozen times in the dataset it’s trained on. Ya know, the whole perfect scores on well known and respected collage tests, but failing to solve slightly altered riddles for children? It being literally incapable of learning new concepts is a pretty major pitfall if you ask me.

I’m really sick and tired of this “we just gotta make a machine that can learn and then we can teach it anything” line. It’s nothing new, people were saying this shit since fucking 1950 when Alan Turing wrote it in a paper. A machine looking at an unholy amount of text and evaluation based on a new prompt, what is the most likely word to follow, IS NOT LEARNING!!! I was sick of this dilema before LLMs were a thing, but now it’s just mind numbing.

Honestly no idea why someone would go around a completely unknown menu in a new unknown editor and randomly click things with caution completely out the window. Not having a copy or trying a blank project, not even reading any messages. I mean even if we don’t know it’s a nuke button, God knows what other edits it could do to your code without you knowing.

It’s fine and all that the company started hiring actual programmers to fix things, but the fact that the old crew still fucks shit up with senior privileges is a major grievance.

Jesus, reminds me of a similar story. My gf once lost a job to someone who literally just pasted code into LLMs, also delivering quickly, even tho it was hot garbage. Anyhow, she spent a lot of her time fixing his shit and so her output went down. I hope that company burns to the ground with completely un manageable software.

Honestly would be hilarious. Considering their last missile test launch exploded in the silo. If there was a nuke inside, it would likely cause a chain reaction blowing up adjacent missiles. Idk, it’s rare for an electron app to literally not even run. Meanwhile I’m yet to encounter a python app that doesn’t require me to Google what specific environment the developer had and recreate it.

I finally switched when I got truly familiar with the terminal in collage and then I happened to get a hand down pc to play around with. Installed Linux on it, and it surprisingly quickly became my main computer, especially once I got it a proper graphics card.

Correction, we went from fanatical Elon worship to a sudden realization, that he’s the greatest scam artist of all time (quite literally, nobody EVER burned more tax payer and inverter money) and went into sudden shock and disbelief.

I’d also like to draw your attention to the fact that Putin barely reacts to Ukraine gaining ground. Sinking of the Moskva, invading their territory, saying they’ll get nukes one way or another. He’s a coward that only advances when he thinks he can get away with it. It’s why this war even started. He seriously thought it would be a 3 day operation and that everyone would quickly forget about it.

Putin has only ever escalated when his actions didn’t have any consequences. Notice how he does crazy shit whenever support gets weaker, but when Abrams, ATACMS or F16 arrived, it was met with almost radio silence. Putin is a fucking coward and we need to keep pushing!

Edit: Oh yea! Also barely reacted to Ukraine saying it wants nukes, be it NATO’s or their own.

As much as I love to hate on apple, any of this format shit is 100% Windows bullshit. It’s not just pictures, with shit like webm, or some random video codecs it’ll ask you to FUCKING BUY! But even shit like Windows only supporting some like 3 file formats from the god knows how many out there. Ever since I switched to Linux (heck, even fucking MacOS would do better) all this stopped being an issue. Fuck windows for literally only supporting their special selection of formats. There’s a good reason why the first step of many people installing windows is also Installing VLC or MUCH superior image viewers. Because Microsoft chooses to not support most things out there!
