Exactly, the country that shared a massive land border with the NAZIs and was a direct target of their aggression suffered many more casualties than the ones what didn’t, who’da thunk it? Without the combined efforts of essentially the entire rest of the world, the USSR would have been toast.

I did so because I knew he had a better chance of winning over a broad group of voters that might have been turned off by populist loudmouths. Once the threat of fascism has subsided I will gladly vote third party, but for now we have coalitions to build and freedoms to protect.

Honey, nobody was even thinking about you. Maybe if you spent the last 50 years shaping the political ecosystem to be more receptive to your ideals, like the fascists did, you might have actually have a political presence worth noting. You lost the long game, now all that’s left is damage control.

Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I don’t trust any sort of diet social credit score.
PRUSSIA_x86@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Roseanne Screams About Stalinist Nazi Caliphate Conspiracy1·2 years agoThat’s a terrible idea from a privacy standpoint, not to mention that absolute nightmare of giving the government to authority to identify and prosecute liars, whomever they deem them to be.

PRUSSIA_x86@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Vulnerable Republicans nervous as 'tone deaf' Supreme Court takes up new abortion case61·2 years agoThat’s not a bad philosophy when all you care about is the moral victory. If you care about results however, there’s little use in pearl clutching and acting offended by the idea of fascists doing fascism. It’s what they do. I don’t blame the crocodile for eating the baby, it’s a dangerous reptile that needs to be put down, but it’s predictable and doing exactly what it’s programmed to do. I blame the adults who sat around and assumed they could allow the baby to wander that close to the water’s edge without anything happening, all the while filling its’ head with pro-crocodile propaganda. Individual humans are intelligent beings with agency, groups of humans are stupid and vulnerable to manipulation. Time to get your gun and go gator huntin’.
