I keep saying this. In 2 months all this antitrust stuff goes out the window. If people actually bothered to show up on 11/5 Kahn and co could actually get some wins for the American people. Instead, we’re going to get more monopolies shoved down our throats.
I was annoyed with Kamala’s lack of appearances on podcasts. Podcasts are quickly replacing legacy media especially with young people, and especially during the last 4 years with a ton of people now working from home. Kamala went on Call Her Daddy, and it was way too short. I think like 45 minutes. She treated it like a CNBC interview imo and didn’t really seem to get the fact that a podcast should be a little less buttoned up. I don’t think she went on any other podcasts.
I listened to Trump on Theo Von, and if I was a young, dumb, uninformed, undecided voter, I could see him resonating with me. Being that I am informed, I could barely stand it, but trump definitely got some voters going on that show. I guarantee it. Bernie did Theo like a week later and I was wondering when Kamala would be on? Then Trump did Rogan, and I still waited for Kamala. I couldn’t force myself to sit through Trump’s Rogan interview because Rogan is a moron, but having said that, he has millions of followers, and neglecting to try to reach that audience was a major misstep. To my knowledge there are no articles saying either wouldn’t have had Kamala on, so I can only think they willfully stayed away from those shows because of the perception of their audience. They should be fighting to get their message to those people, and frankly anyone who will listen.
I think this is bs. I think that the advent of smart phones and distracted drivers plays a much bigger role. 2010 is around the time the smart phone became mainstream. People are paying less attention to the road as a result. I get that getting hit by a bigger car is worse, but when the driver isn’t paying attention in the first place, that’s the true danger. I’ve seen a ton of near misses from people texting and driving. My wife got in an accident because she was texting and driving. She lucked out and was found not at fault because the other person ran a stop sign, but had she not been texting, and actually watching the road, she likely would’ve seen it and stopped. Imo texting and driving ticket needs to be as bad if not worse than DUI. I’ve seen idiots driving around phone in hand making tik toks dancing while driving. Pay attention to the road, you’re in a death machine.
I work in procurement for a fairly large company. The number of random Chinese companies that send me emails, and the random cold calls I get drive me up the wall. Like dude, if I’m qualifying new vendors, I sure as shit ain’t doing it based on a cold call or random sales email. FOH.

Fuckin great. I ran out of hotspot like a month ago while working remotely on a road trip. I needed hotspot right then /there, and my phone is on a family plan. Increasing my hotspot data meant I had to do it for the whole family plan and pay almost double the amount on the monthly bill. I thought I outsmarted the system by getting a mint mobile 3 month subscription for like $40 to just use for that trip… Aaaaaand my data’s been breached… Cool…
