Google has destroyed their own ads revenue by adding more and more ads. Imagine they’d have stopped with simple side banner and people would’ve not even bothered to use an adblocker because of it. This tiny little banner would’ve been worth as much as the multiple seconds ads now. The companies would pay as much, as there’d be no alternate.

That’s actually pretty bad and should be fixed asap. There have been people robbed and near extinct animals killed because someone uploaded an image with coordinates in the exif. Social media should always by default delete this info during upload.

They missed their chances. When I got the invite a few weeks ago, I did no longer care, because I already switched to Lemmy. There’s no place for Bluesky anymore, they missed the Twitter exodus and the Reddit one. They should’ve send my code years ago but didn’t. Such a fail of a company.
