  • Maybe a percentage of those votes were because of this, but you can’t actually believe that 71 million people voted for him because he somehow represents the working class better than the dems would. The vast majority people who were protesting the dems not representing the working class, did so by not voting or voting 3rd party, not by voting for Trump.

99 percent of those people voted for Trump because of 3 reasons: Racism, Misogyny, or ignorance. There is a fourth group of rich voters who voted for him to line their pockets, but they are a miniscule portion of his votes. This fourth group mostly just invests money to encourage the racist, misogynistic, and ignorant ones to go vote.

  • It was. If you go through the OP thread, one of the responses is a picture of the dialog window that this user clicked through saying, “these changes will be IRREVERSIBLE”.

The OP was just playing with a new kind of fire (VSCodes Git/source control panel) that they didn’t understand, and they got burned.

We all gotta get burnt at least once, but it normally turns us into better devs in the end. I would bet money that this person uses source control now, as long as they are still coding.

  • Bump stocks increase fire rate by sacrificing any ability to aim the gun with sights. An aimed 22 rifle can be more deadly at range than an AR with a bump stock. A stock AR is more effective at killing than a bump stock equipped AR in the vast majority of situations.

Basically, bump stocks are a kind of useless thing to focus on. The vast majority of gun owners prefer a stock AR over one with a bump stock. The real issue that should be focused on is capacity. Having to reload throws a big wrench in the rate of fire thing you are talking about.

  • For sure. Actual leftists often criticize the Dems, because the Dems aren’t leftist. They are mostly just centrists and they are in bed with Corporate America. That being said, I don’t understand why some people have to criticize every little thing. I have been pretty critical of the Democratic party, myself, as a self identifying Socialist (begrudgingly still vote for them, because the other 1 option is way worse). These pardons are a good thing, though, and I don’t see what the problem is for some people.

Some extreme leftists just turn into such contrarians that they end up sounding the same as right wing fear mongerers. It’s like the political spectrum is a circle, with both of the left and right ends meeting up in a bubble of authoritarianism and hate.
