Thanks for the suggestion! I’m now using Kanata which is inspired by Kmonad and it’s working well so far. Despite the cool things that come with external keyboards split or not, I don’t want to be uncomfortable with my built in keyboard when my laptop is on my legs or I just don’t have access to a table in general

Thanks for the comment. Neither, I’ve been typing with 10 fingers for 3 years, and my fingers are normal. I just want to access my number row without having to move my hands as much. It’s a hyper optimization I know but I would move closer to typing and editing with the speed of thought if I do it

  • I don’t understand how anyone can say a statement as heartless as “humans are cancer”, but I shouldn’t be surprised because it’s within our nature to oversimplify, categorize, and put good and evil label on things. But the truth is that you can’t put a label on humans because we are too diverse for that. For as cruel and heartless humans can be, we can also be kind and forgiving. There are millions who dedicated their lives in helping others, and millions of forest rangers defending what you label as good. You know that life has existed on earth for 3 billion years, so what good did it do exactly? Creatures born and died one after the other and what good did they ever do? Also life wasn’t always stable on earth, there where 5 mass extincttions, and 5 ice ages long before we industrialized. It’s been a few hundred years at most since we’ve been a “cancer” to earth. If humans where gone things will continue as normal, stars shine until they fade without anyone to gaze at their beauty. Universe will turn dark without anything happening. I don’t think things will stay like this. Humans where hunter gatherers for ~288000 years but we grew out of it and learned to do better. I think the same will be true for war and injustice. We will grow out of these childish actions one day.

Yeah I also get mad at this sometimes, but I always try to remind myself that even if a bad, influential person dies, another bad person takes their thrown by every dirty trick imaginable. This problem must be fixed from it’s roots, which is to be a good person and raise children who grow to be good and honorable people. Everyday not only think about yourself but also about others beyond your family and friends. Help anyone your hand reaches to and always prefer other’s benefit from yourself. I know not everyone can be like this but even if 60% of people where, the world would have been a much better place.

I would like to know how did they came to the conclusion that the world problems is caused by nature and not other selfish people. Politicians who didn’t allow me to my country’s university because of my religious beliefs made this choice not because “the nature” forced them, or they somehow lacked free will. They may blame our flawed natures like greed but I would argue that we can choose not to listen to our emotions and desires. I can shallow my anger, and silence my pride which makes me an entity separate from it’s emotions. People can also change their mind if they choose, both in a positive and negative way.
