There’s a big difference between meeting the criteria for being a war criminal and having an arrest warrant issued by the ICC.

Interesting. As with any problematic group that makes the transition it’s a bit annoying to have to deal with them on the new platform, but they shouldn’t be banned and them moving is a great sign that bluesky has the juice.

Not every social media format is for everyone, no need to be hostile about it. I just can’t bring myself to engage with TikTok and Reels and such, but other people really like them and why would that be a problem for me?

The way Mastodon is broken up into little communities such that it’s hard for anything to go viral and you can’t easily search for everything being said about a topic kills a lot of the value of old-twitter. Comes from Mastodon having been created as a twitter alternative with a different philosophy back in the old twitter days, while bluesky is more a reaction to Musk twitter used by people who didn’t have a problem with the old version.

This is the real problem with these Silicon Valley fads like crypto and AI - they cause idiot tech executives to disinvest in their worthwhile products in an attempt to get on the bandwagon.

This will cause me to torrent the Amazon shows I want to watch even though I’ll likely still have access to an Amazon account to watch them on.
