What are peoples preferred alternatives to use with stemio?
As others in this thread I literally just paid for 6 months on Realdebrid Woop!

What’s reddit? Is that like a new alternative to Lemmy? ;P
Thanks for the link, that is where I will be going to do just that.
I would use Linux if I could but sadly I can’t.
Linux doesn’t run what I need, getting some form of LTSC is my only option.
How is Serato these days? I moved to Traktor around 5 years ago but have recently been looking to change controllers and not sure if I should stick with Traktor or try moving back.
Good talking points. Have a great day.
Maybe you misunderstand when I say torrenting music is bullshit, what I mean is that unless you are on a private tracker or only want mainstream shit then you won’t find much torrenting. It is a bullshit method of music piracy for anything outside mainstream when using public trackers.
I don’t even try and make out like I don’t use all the methods I list, you want to pirate music and I point out that for not a lot of money you can actively pirate what you like from them and then still support the more niche or local interests you have with the like of bandcamp.
I also try and give back to the pirate music community in the form of adding everything I rip to my soulseek shares so lots of other people can access and share it. That is what piracy should be about, sharing that love.
You sound like the kind of person whose average share ratio on a torrent is way below 1.
10 a month to rip unlimited 320 mp3s of anything they have on the service. Seems like a pretty good “excuse” to use it for me.
Torrenting music is bullshit, soulseek is much better but still has massive gaps. Unless you are a part of a good private tracker then the Spotify price is a fucking bargain for all the files you could have…
Also you bitch about them not giving over revenue or whatever but then torrent your music and don’t buy any…
I’m into the real dubstep scene and without looking into private trackers your best bets are soulseek or ripping the tracks yourself from Spotify if they get a release on there.
Beyond that I haven’t found any other, better resources other than just going ahead and buying stuff. Also you didn’t mention bandcamp so you should probably check that out if you haven’t already. Not a fan of beatport or Juno personally.
Does it though when they control both ends. It is encrypted between each end which I guess secures against things like a man in the middle attack from outside parties but their app encrypts it on one end and decrypts it on the other. I have a very hard time believing that they don’t “read” your messages at some point in that process.
Yeah I second this, it was so fucking easy to get in you just have to look up when the window is each week, jump on their irc, read a minimal amount of rules and then answer some questions on them to prove you read them. It took me about half an hour.
The VIP paywall thing is bullshit too. They do have a points system which was a little confusing at first but if you take the time to read all the introductory posts explaining them then it is an easy system to follow and you can easily amass many freeleech wedges which completely negates the so called VIP wall.
Can’t recommend them enough and so much fucking selection compared to free trackers.
Cool. Thank you so much for the information and taking the time to reply :D
I have had a more in depth look at it since making my previous post. It isn’t like it is completely beyond me, I understand what is going on in the instructions but the main thing I am worried about is that I have very very limited experience soldering things and what I have done before hasn’t exactly been great work so I’m not sure I would be able to do a good job on the small stuff that is involved here.
It would be a good learning process though and like you say I could employ some help from various different places.
Do you have a sort of roundabout figure in terms of cost for all the parts? Just to give me an idea of how much they buy in for the project would be before I started fucking stuff up? XD
I do definitely like the concept though and certainly appeals to me so I will be looking more into it. Thanks!
Interesting, had a quick look and saved to look in more detail later however I don’t think I have the skills to actually build something like this. Maybe I’ll give it a go anyway, the blackberry keyboards are chefs kiss
The problem with Linux based phones is they are just not feasible as a daily driver device right now. Once they are I would happily jump ship over to them but I currently make my life hard enough as it is trying to reject this current trend of having a bullshit app for everything that I don’t need to make it any harder right now xD
I’d still be interested in checking out the projects if you have any names of devices I can look up.
The only other production device I know of is the fx tec pro but all of the different reviews and such I have searched out for them aren’t super positive so I’ve never bothered getting one to try out.
I fucking hate touchscreens. I have been someone who buys devices with physical keyboards whenever I can and the best phone j have owned in more recent years was the blackberry key two, that phone was fucking awesome but it has got to the point now where there are no longer any good options.
I had a unithertz titan until recently but just got tired of things just not quite working as they should on it. There in the unihertz titan slim which is the same form factor as the keytwo so I feel would be physically great but the software side is just going to be more of the same I had with the regular titan.
I wish there was a decent option. I backed the planet computers astroslide as that looked decent but those cunts fucked over backers, delivered a few devices and have now fucked off not fulfilling all backers devices. That is my first and last forray into crowdfunded bullshit.
Someone make a good phone with a physical keyboard for the love of god!!!
Seen as OP already uses Spotify I would add in ripping music directly from there using something like soggfy for anything you can’t find on soulseek.
Obviously doesn’t help with the removed iron maiden song but is an easy way to be able to make your own copy of things still on there.
Garmin already use vivo suffixes for some of its watches like the vivoactive and vivosmart.
I think he is referring to my home instance - lemmy.dbzer0.com
This is too vague to give an in depth answer as we don’t know your ultimate goals or your diet as a whole but not eating before working out isnt bad. Some diets such as intermittent fasting involves fasted work outs.
Changing both your diet and work out habits can be hard, especially if you do it all at once which can become demoralising and hard to maintain over the long term.
I encourage you to research different approaches towards your ultimate goal and make smaller changes over time with a view of changing your outlook on food and exercise for the long term and making it stick.
