It sounds personal. And I’m sorry if it is. You’re right, I don’t have personal experience on how countries outside the US handled it. Or how easily the elderly or others could be sucked into something because of the people surrounding them. Take care friend.
not everyone is able to read and understand scientific literature
There were professionals on TV EVERYDAY. BEGGING people to stop taking random prescriptions and at the same time provided resources if you had questions.
No. I’m just pointing out how odd this post is.
You even mentioned something about an “anonymous” outlook account. Considering you just made a point about how invasive Microsoft is around privacy. That account is far from anonymous. I guess if you decided not to put your initials and birth year in the handle, then maybe that’s what you mean.
Ya normally don’t see people post privacy concerns in a privacy community, with the content of the post being to register and then purchase from the thing you’re alerting others about. Take that however you’d like. I really don’t have anything else to say about it.
I get your point, but I think this is a bad example. There are ways to access their content with library’s and educational programs. Plus you know, it IS a book. Like a real book.
Imagine getting upset and posting on social media because someone didn’t release their published book for free on the internet.
Bitches about Microsoft, then proceeds to support Microsoft. ?

Maybe because of my background, but I’ve never had an issue standing up or maintaining a Nextcloud instance. Especially since the AIO release. Hell, I was shocked how easy it was to migrate.
I’m not saying it’s the best software, but it’s always just worked. I’ve been using it since I dropped own cloud for the nextcloud fork. What common issues are people having with the infrastructure?
