Plausible for programmers, at least
Step 1: draft an email to yourself
Step 2: put all recipients in the BCC
Step 3: now “reply all” does jack shit
But at the end of the day a cube is a cube and a ball is a ball. Anything else is madness and you’re not standing for it.
This is the crux of where you are wrong. There’s more than just cubes and balls, but because of society, stigma and restrictive laws in some countries, everyone has to try and fit themselves into a cube or a ball, even though they might be egg shaped.
Idk, I think they know what they are doing
How about reading the article before commenting
Here’s the description by both:
sh.itjust.works:
A bilingual (EN/FR) general-purpose instance located in eastern Canada! Powered by 99% renewable energy! Everyone is welcome eh.
Lemmy.World:
A generic Lemmy server for everyone to use. (…) Lemmy.World is a general-purpose Lemmy instance of various topics, for the entire world to use
The comments about instances being “good” or “bad” is just plain ol’ tribalism.
Users get attacked for the instances they registered to, even if they were unaware of instance politics when they actually registered. That sucks!
I guess that answers it then - when humans start walking instead of crawling
??? not a joke answer - what is the difference between length and height?
As @HorseChandelier pointed out, it’s not about misgendering, it’s about what being a first Lady entails
I think “first lady” is referring to the absence of Meliana and omnipresence of Musk at Trump’s side rather than saying Musk is/identifies as female
Meanwhile, future First Lady Elon Musk weighed in on Tuesday
Ooh spicy, I like it
Having fun responding to these advertorials:
Title: “How To Compress A Video Without Losing Quality”
- Compress video using Zip
Yeah, I always share my videos in a zip file, especially when I’m sharing it with strangers.
- Change the resolution
I thought without losing quality was the goal here?
Anyway, use HandBrake to compress videos. It’s got a slider for quality so you can finetune the quality and file size to get as close to the file size you want to share it.
Paper is everything, yes. But you can’t beat the image quality of inkjet when it comes to photos. Acceptable images, sure. But printing photos to sell or frame? No way.
Wouldn’t that enable an angle of “martyr for freedom of speech”?
Could you elaborate on this angle? I’m not very well versed in the rights of companies operating in the EU, but I’m unsure “freedom of speech” is one of them.
Edit: I did find information about how social media needs to help us protect freedom of speech for all of their users. Currently, X is doing the opposite it seems
While this is perfect for documents and prints where picture quality doesn’t matter, OP mentioned later that they bought it specifically for photos.
You can use laser for photos but it looks like shit, so inkjet was the right way to go here
I think this is only possible through apps at the moment, like Voyager. Although there has been recent talk on GitHub, they acknowledge it will take a while before it’s implemented.
They are mentioned in the article, if we can call it that. But no specifics:
Currently, U.S. restrictions include an embargo on a certain weapons shipment and limitations on various combat-related equipment, even if they do not involve explosive ordnance.
I know this is a meme, but if you want to get rid of them:
Click your picture on the top right > Settings > Notifications > Email > turn off “Missed activity emails”
Also unhelpful, since, if you look at my comment history, I was already aware of the Costco butter fiasco and had made a snarky comment about it.
Are you insinuating Google is reading your Lemmy comments and pushing you news recommendations based on those?
I don’t think it’s the reason, but my guess is that people see their PC as personal property in the sense of “I get to decide what happens to my hardware”, while others are more like services.
Android would be similar, but as far as I know I can still use my phone without a Google account, and then there’s people that completely de-googled their phone so it doesn’t even apply to them.
